Post-Event: Nucleic Acid Extraction, Amplification and Gel Electrophoresis Workshop, 24-25th July 2019, Monash University, Malaysia

A total of 15 participants joined the Nucleic Acid Extraction, Amplification and Gel Electrophoresis Workshop at Monash University on 24-25th July 2019. Aside from Monash participants, there were also members from other universities such as UiTM Puncak Alam Campus, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC) and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).

During the workshop, participants were able to have hands-on experience with Hercuvan equipment such as Gradient Touch Thermal Cycler GS-2×48, Microcentrifuge TT-14500 PRO, Mini-Centrifuge TT-6000, EB-HES-CGMIDIDUO and MiniGEL Electrophoresis System TT-HES-1. Furthermore, we hope all the participants were able to gain valuable knowledge on nucleic acid extraction, amplification and gel electrophoresis as well as useful tips for their research.

Last but not least, we would like to express our gratitude to Monash University for offering us the facility and support to carry out the workshop. Here’s to more collaborations in the future!
